SEAS GUIDANCE: Open Floor Hearings Involvement Form - Deadline TODAY, 11.49pm Wednesday, September 9th 2020

Dear Supporters

Open Floor Hearings Involvement Form - Deadline Wednesday, September 9th 2020

We are once again asking for your help.   The Examining Authorities for East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia TWO are preparing to start the Examinations.  To engage with this crucial step it is vital to fill out the next form, the

Open Floor Hearings Involvement Form

Completion of this form allows you to request to be heard or to listen, by virtual meeting, at the first round of Open Floor Hearings (OFH) to be held from Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th October 2020 and will ensure that the correct Joining Instructions are sent to you before the event.

The crucial question on this form is question 9, which asks what degree of involvement you are planning to give at these Open Floor Hearings.  We are asking for as many of you as possible, who have registered with the Planning Inspectorate, to speak at these virtual Hearings by expanding on the written Representation you made back in January 2020.  We know this is difficult. You absolutely do not need to be a polished public speaker but we need as many diverse voices to be heard.  If you feel you can't participate in this way then please, please continue to fill out the form and request to observe or make a further written representation.

This form is the most important yet

The form itself is easy, just 10 minutes with suggested answers below.  Please continue to give your help.  It is only by showing our strength at every stage of this process that we can hope to influence the outcome of these Examinations.

We are also asking people to come forward and form specific interest groups on issues and to give each other support.  Issues could be tourism, roads, environment, wildlife, pollution, coastal erosion and many more.  If you care to join a group please reply to this email stating the issues that concern you and we will put people in touch with each other.  Also do get in touch if you require assistance filling out the form.

Thank you

Suggested answers to the Open Floor Hearings Involvement Form

Of particular importance are: -

  • I am (or a person that I represent is) an Interested Party in one or both Examinations

Question 6. I am interested in...

  • Both Applications

Question 7. Please confirm your Interested Party (IP) reference numbers, or the IP reference numbers of the organisation or person you are representing for both East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia TWO...(If you did not manage to register as an Interested Party, then please contact SEAS on info@suffolkenergyactionsolutions.co.uk

Question 9. Thinking of your involvement in the Open Floor Hearings ...

We are asking for as many of you as possible to participate orally in these Open Floor Hearings.  We know this is difficult.  You absolutely do not need to be a polished public speaker.  We need as many diverse voices to be heard.

  • I request to be heard orally at an early virtual Open Floor Hearing between Wednesday 7 and Friday 9 October. I may wish to observe too

Please check this box, you may or may not be chosen and you can always change your mind. We need to make PINS know that the community is still unhappy about SPR's plans and these virtual meetings will not diminish our resolve. If you strongly feel you cannot participate in this way then please request to observe or to make a written representation.
